Why Almost All Digital Marketing Agencies Fail

It may be worth it for you to get this tattooed on your forehead!

(Not really, please don’t)

Business owners who do things that others don’t want to do, who do things that make others uncomfortable, are oftentimes the most successful and make the most money.

That would be quite that tattoo, huh?!

Doesn’t matter what the industry is.

Now if you’re reading this article it’s probably because you either are already doing digital marketing, or you’re thinking about starting.

So what’s the number one thing that Digital Marketing Agency owners don’t want to do?

What makes them feel nauseous and sick to their stomach even just thinking about it?


It’s quite a backwards way of thinking…

The owner of the business wants to get paid, but they are hesitant to expand the business.

Because with new clients means more staff, more responsibilities, more chaos, more things that can go wrong!

And that’s what makes Agency owners feel uncomfortable.

It makes them get complacent and think things like…

  • I’m already making six figures, why make more?
  • I’m really comfortable with where I’m at right now.
  • I don’t want to take on more responsibility, my plate’s already full.

This is an amazing concept to understand.


Because it frees up more business for you and me knowing that our competition doesn’t have the guts to go get it!

Now my definitions of success and failure are probably completely different from yours.

But I look at failure as settling, and not living out your full potential.

This is why I titled this article, why almost all digital marketing agencies fail…

It’s not that they fail by falling apart and losing all their business.

They fail in that they’re making maybe $75k a year, but have the potential to be making $500k a year!

Let me tell you something…

Whether you’re just starting out, have a little experience, or are a seasoned veteran…

There’s no limit in this industry.

If you do what others won’t, then you can have what others can’t!

Remember when you were a small child and you were afraid of the boogeyman in your closet or under your bed?

Hopefully, as you grew more mature you learned to realize that this F.E.A.R. was nothing more than you just being scared of the dark.

It’s a F.E.A.R. of the unknown.

This F.E.A.R. still exists in many business owners, they’re afraid of failure because they worry what others will think of them, they have a F.E.A.R. of doing things that they aren’t familiar with.

So what’s this acronym I keep using?

F.E.A.R. is…





In order to be a successful marketing agency, you have to have confidence in your ability to figure out complex situations like scaling a business!

There’s no other way around it.

This level confidence is not for everyone, that’s for sure.

But if you can attain it, well…

The world is yours.
